Dr. Richa Chopra is an experienced Consultant Dermatologist and Cosmetologist with a robust educational and professional background. She completed her MBBS from Bharati Vidyapeeth Medical College and Hospital in Sangli, followed by an MD in Skin and VD from Maharashtra Institute of Medical Education and Research (MIMER) in Talegaon. Her medical license is with the Delhi Medical Council.
Dr. Chopra began her medical career with an internship at Bharati Vidyapeeth Medical College and Hospital, followed by a position as a Junior Resident in the Department of Surgery at St Stephens Hospital, Tis Hazari. From July 2013 to July 2016, she served as a Consultant Dermatologist and Cosmetologist at MIMER, Talegaon. Her career further includes roles at Sarvodya Skin, Hair, and Laser Clinic in Pitampura, Kaya Skin Clinic in Punjabi Bagh, and RG Stone Hospital in Goa. Most recently, she worked as a Senior Resident at Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Medical College & Hospital in Rohini, New Delhi, and later as a Senior Consultant at QHT Hair Transplant Clinic in Haridwar. Currently, Dr. Chopra is a Senior Consultant at Shri Swami Bhumanand Hospital in Jwalapur, Haridwar.
Her academic contributions include a dissertation on the role of skin surface biopsy in superficial cutaneous fungal infections, and she has been recognized with a scholarship for her paper presentation on the misuse of topical corticosteroids at the World Congress of Dermatology in 2015, Vancouver. Dr. Chopra has extensive work experience in both dermatology and cosmetology, having treated a wide range of dermatological conditions and performed various cosmetic procedures such as lasers, microdermabrasion, radiocautery, chemical peels, dermaroller treatments, Botox, and fillers. Her teaching experience includes lecturing MBBS students and DNB residents, as well as conducting dermatology clinics for undergraduates and interns.
Dr. Chopra has also been involved in clinical research, including a study on the misuse of topical corticosteroids and the role of skin surface biopsy in fungal infections. She has presented her findings at several national conferences, including poster presentations on leprosy patch sparing in drug-induced hyperpigmentation and studies on perimenstrual dermatoses.
